These grey, dreary days are doing nothing for my waistline! It’s comfort food all round here and that includes sweet treats by the dozen. Now, I love a sweet treat and totally believe in everything in moderation but it’s good to have some heathier alternatives too. This week I’ve finally made a healthier date flapjack that is low in sugar, J loves – which is a miracle in itself! – and is great for an afternoon snack or lunchbox filler. So I’ve picked out two more gorgeous looking healthy vegan desserts from last week’s #Freefromfridays to keep you going through the rest of January.
Banoffe pie is one of my all time favourites and this Vegan banoffee pie from Baking Explorer uses dates as well as a grain free base made with nuts.
Or for some gooey goodness try these Fudgy gluten free vegan brownies from Food Allergy Pantry which use sweet potato and can be enjoyed as a dessert or delicious brownie bites.
