Free From Fridays – 24th April 2015

April 24, 2015 by Emma 11 Comments

Hola! cómo estás? We are back from sunny Spain and excited to be hosting #Freefromfridays again.

We had so much scrummy, fresh food while we were away and it inspired me to post this great Churros recipe which is such a classic and delicious dish.

Luckily we had a reaction free week and, apart from getting on Spanish siesta time and refusing to go to bed before 9pm, J had a happy, healthy week visiting his grandparents. Next week I will be adding some more ideas to my tips on travelling with allergies so let me know if you have any.

Allergy-UK-Living-in-Fear

It’s also Allergy Awareness Week, as many of you will know, and I have been supporting Allergy UK’s #livinginfear campaign with a video about what it’s like to live with life threatening allergies. Please take a look and share it to help spread the word.

In other exciting news, I am delighted to see that Holland and Barrett are opening a new Free From store in Chester and are going to expand their free from range. We will be working with them to promote this move – more on that to come!

So, back to your recipes from 3 weeks’ ago – if you can remember that long ago… And here are my favourites.

This Sweetcorn and Avocado Salsa from International Elf Service combines some of my favourite flavours and would be perfect for an early Summer BBQ.

Thank you for featuring our post. Well done on your work for the Living in Fear campaign. Thought your video was powerful. People can be flippant about allergies and should really stop and think. Let’s hope this campaign has woken a few up.

This is a fab linky. We are lucky enough to be allergy-free but these recipes look lovely, and I will know to recommend the linky to friends with free from families. x
