If you love sleek, streamlined kitchen appliances that also deliver on performance, you are going to love the Beko TBV8104BX Vacuum Blender! It’s black and stainless steel design make it look like a high end coffee machine and the vacuum technology helps lock all the goodness into your food.
When AO asked us to check it out, I wasn’t expecting it to look so stylish. It’s not really a word you associate with blenders, which usually look clunky, plastic and awkward. My usual problem is trying to find cupboard space to store them away but with this one, you wouldn’t want to as it would make a lovely addition to your kitchen.
There are a range of control options which include a simple knob where you can turn it up to your desired speed, or a pulse button. There are also a number of preset settings for smoothies etc. on the buttons down the side, although these are quite difficult to see.
The blender locks out air by using a vacuum system which means fruit and vegetables won’t oxidise and maintain more of their vitamins and flavour.
The jug is large and has a 1.5 litre capacity – more than enough for the whole family. Although I would have liked to have an additional smaller jug to make it more versatile. The blade is strong and with a mix of different teeth is ready for anything! It blends up fruit in an instant but also makes easy work of seeds, ice or harder vegetables.
It’s very easy to use and the push down section at the top (which makes it feel even more like a coffee machine!) secures it in place. There is a small measuring cup as well which doubles as a protector for the plunger, to keep it safe and dry while the main jug is taken off.
My favourite thing though has to be the self clean facility! All you have to do is add some warm water and washing up liquid and turn it on! That makes it so much easier than having to find space in the dishwasher or wash it by hand.
The Beko blender costs £199 and is available at AO.com

The blender looks and sounds really good and I love the fact that it helps to keep the nutrients in. Thanks for including my recipe.
Looks like an awesome piece of kit, Emma! My beloved Vitamix is on its last legs and when it does go, I’m not 100% certain that I’ll be sticking with the brand, but will absolutely need to replace it. I’ll bear this in mind xx
