April has been a good month and I’m happy to say J and baby A are now settled in childcare and I feel like I am moving forward finally. I’m very excited that May is here though as I get to meet my baby niece this month!! A new squishy baby to cuddle and love, without having to give birth – bliss!
Here are a few of my favourite things from this month…
Anyone who suffers from Hayfever will know how badly it can affect your everyday lives. Itchy eyes, runny nose and a constant cough. There are lots of remedies out there but it’s lovely to discover a natural one made of just beeswax and sunflower oil. Haymax is a small pot of balm that you rub under your nose to reduce pollen entering your airways. It can also work for pet and dust mite allergies as well. I love how simple it is and that kids can carry it with them and self apply during the day.
We were also sent some Bioskin Junior bath milk to try and really liked the Lavender scent and how gentle it seemed on the little one’s skin. We usually use Aveeno but this was just as good and smelled so calming before bed.
I recently bought this oximeter for just £18 off Amazon. It checks your oxygen levels and pulse rate, just the same as the GPs use, and can help give vital information during an asthma attack. We often find it difficult to make that final call of whether to take J to hospital when his asthma gets bad. Although we will still rely on physical symptoms – like recessions – it helped back up my decision to take him to A&E last week. He ended up needing nebulisers and I was glad I’d bought this little machine.
Free From Food Awards
This month I made a little vlog at the Free From Food Awards. It was a fun and inspiring night and I was honoured to be part of it. A few months ago I judged two of the categories so it was great to see the winners and catch up with some of the great brands and bloggers. The awards have been running for 9 years now but this year saw over 300 people celebrate the best products on the market and hopefully it will keep on growing.
What were your favourite things this month?
*Disclosure: We were sent some Haymax Kids and Bioskin Junior to review. All words and opinions are our own.
