Allergies have been highlighted in the media this week with the good, bad and ugly making an appearance.
The groundbreaking conviction of a restaurant owner after a man died from undeclared peanuts and the new heartwarning Morrisons Freefrom advert have put two imporatnt issues centre stage – safety and inclusion.
It’s a difficult balance to get right and something I am still trying to figure out.
I want J to be able to do everything his friends do but sometimes the safest choice might exclude him from this.
How do you handle these two things together?
Now J has started his new nursery and baby A is at the childminder I have to make lunchboxes for them and have been struggling to know what to put in them. So this week I have chosen a few recipes that I think would work well.
These Eggless mini cheese and onion muffins from Baby Brain Memoirs are a great handheld lunch and could easily be made dairyfree too.
These Peanut booster bars from Mrs Savage Angel would keep the little ones going all day and by substituting with Wow Butter they would be a great safe snack.
