This week baby A celebrated her half birthday – 6 months old already!
Unfortuantely it was marred by her also having her first allergic reaction.
She reacted badly to banana – was covered in hives, her lips and eyes swelled and she had a secondary reaction a few hours later. I knew, from her reactions through my breastmilk, she was going to have allergies but it was sad and scary for it to become a reality.
Now we have a another food allergic mouth to feed I have also been writing about how to save money shopping with food allergies. I’d love to hear your tips.
And I’ve been supporting Asthma UK’s take a #scarfie campaign as J has been struggling with his Asthma over the last year. Have you taken yours?
Now, onto the recipes….
It was brilliant to see 30 posts linked up last week. I love reading them and get so much inspiration from all your ideas so keep sharing and spreading the word. There were so many I wanted to feature this week it was really hard to pick just a few – it’s a hard life I know!
This Sweet potato and rum cake from Snack To The Future just reminded me of my days working on cruise ships in the Caribbean with all it’s great flavours and spices.
This Lemon and Blueberry loaf from Muddling Through made me think of Summer tea parties – can you see a theme developing as I dream of warm climates?! – and looked lovely and light.
And finally, these Rasberry tarts from Lilis Cakes are just pretty as a picture and had me daydreaming about strolling down parisian side streets!
