Happy Thanksgiving y’all!
As a half-American family we always celebrate Thanksgiving – although this year we did it watching American football with a Chinese Takeaway!! I think it’s a lovely holiday as there is no expectation to spend lots of money or buy any presents. It’s just about being with the ones you love and being grateful for everything you have. It’s a holiday that I a looking forward to getting J and Miss A into as they get older.
I have decided that Baby A really should become Miss A now – not least because she graduated last week! OK, it was only her Hipp Organic Wean Team graduation but it was complete with gown and cap! My little baby’s growing up fast.
This week I’ve picked out four fruity recipes to brighten up these dark evenings.
Start with this lovely, comforting Sausage, Squash, Apple and Sage tray bake from Easy Peasie Foodie.
For a lovely free from side dish, this Roasted apple and cranberry sauce from Strength and Sunshine is a great idea.
Onto dessert (of course!) and one of my favourites – Banoffee tarts from Mummy Bakes Dairy Free
Or one to savour with a cup of tea – Lemon drizzle cake from Intolerant Gourmand
