Berry breakfast Easter nests (dairy free and gluten free)

March 9, 2017 by Emma 12 Comments

Did you know dark chocolate has serious health benefits? It is full of nutrients and antioxidants and can help improve blood flow to the brain. And what better excuse to start the day with it than Easter! These berry breakfast dairy free chocolate Easter nests are a fun and healthy breakfast for all the family to enjoy together.

I am always on a bid for better breakfasts and these are a great way to start the day. The nests are really easy for kids to make and can be prepared the previous day so there is no mad rush in the morning. We used frozen berries so just put some in the fridge the night before to defrost and you’re ready to go. We added a drizzle of Sweet Freedom chocolate sauce but honey would be nice too.

The nests are a great base for any topping and could be used for dessert, with dairy free chocolate coins, haribo or non-sweet treats on top. They also taste ymmy on their own too and we added the ones we had left over to the kids’ lunchboxes.  Even J and A’s bunnies couldn’t resist getting in on the act!

Love these! Cornflake cakes are always so moreish, but the addition of the berries is perfect! And with dark chocolate being so good for us, we can eat the whole batch right?
