AD – Gifted
The sun is shining, the splash park is open and half term definitely felt like the beginning of summer!
We had a lovely time playing outside, enjoying a picnic and generally embracing the warm weather. J and Miss A were also over the moon at being able to try out their new shopDisney products. Miss A has been asking to go to Disneyland all the time and my husband has been fuelling the fire since Star Wars land just opened, so it came at an appropriate time.
I think when lots of people imagine Disney they just think about princesses and sparkle but as they also cover Star Wars and Marvel there are loads of different characters available for everyone to enjoy. J loved his superhero gear and these towels were large and really soft. The drinks bottles have a clever clip on them so you can attach them to the outside of a bag, making them easily accessible and freeing up some space for all those changes of clothes and snacks required!
Miss A loves her Minnie Mouse version and has inisisted on taking it to preschool, even though she doesn’t need one there! She was also exceptionally excited to see that Minnie loves unicorns as much as her on her plastic bat and ball set. It came packaged up in a backpack with a frisbee and skipping rope too so is great for taking to the park or on holiday to keep them amused.
J has been busy practicing his golfing skills – he’s not bad actually! The kit comes with its own golf bag, balls and practice hole so I think he is imagining himself as a professional already. He is probably getting some extra strength from his Hulk themed outfit too. shopDisney have got some lovely summer clothes available and this set is £18 which I don’t think is bad at all for a good quality shorts and tshirt.
When we got home we were able to cool off with some ice lollies I had made earlier in these cute Mickey themed holders. It can be difficult to find safe lollies when we are out and about, or ones that aren’t made of pure sugar, so it’s great to be able to give them a healthy treat.
The kids loved all their Shop Disney gear and I’m sure we will be using them in lots of our summer fun this year, at home and on holiday. I think the clothing and the toy sets would also make lovely gifts and there are so many different characters to choose from to keep everyone happy. Now I’ve just got to get the whole family to Disneyland – mainly so my husband will stop going on about building his own light saber!
