5 things to do for Mother’s Day in Befordshire

March 21, 2017 by Emma 1 Comment

It’s only five days until Mother’s Day so if you haven’t booked anything yet, or your partner or child need a little nudge, here are five last minute ideas for Mother’s Day in Bedfordshire.

I may slyly bookmark it for Mr C as he has a mixed record in this department! The first year he took me for afternoon tea at Moggerhanger Park and bought me a beautiful painting. Last year, I got a dodgy breakfast in bed (toast and slightly gone off bacon!) so he’s got a bit of making up to do….

So I have rounded up my top picks for Mother’s Day in Bedfordshire to make those Mums in your life smile.

Mother’s Day Floral Workshop, Jordan’s Mill

Yes, you could head down to the Flower shop and pick up some pretty blooms but why not get stuck in and make a bunch instead! This lovely workshop at Jordan’s Mill is a great chance for Dads and kids to get hands on and make a personalised gift.

Flower Craft Workshop, Chiltern Gateway Centre

Mums always appreciate a homemade present and a lie in! So why not take the kids along to this craft activity on Sunday morning while she had a snooze and bring her back some keepsake flowers made with love.

Cream Tea And VIP Experience, Woburn Safari Park

Now this is something my mum would love! Enjoy a cream tea in the safari lodge and then take a 45 minute off road drive round the safari park to learn more about the animals from an experienced guide.

Mother’s Day Tea With Owls, Wilstead Birds Of Prey Centre

Who needs an ordinary Mother’s Day Tea when you can have one with owls! Spend an hour meeting, handling and flying different owls before enjoying an afternoon tea. This is a fun day out for all the family.

Free Flowers, Wrest Park

Wrest Park is a beautiful place to spend a Sunday and the first 20 mums to arrive will be given a free hand picked bunch of Daffodils. You can also enjoy a Mother’s Day roast or afternoon tea to warm you up after your walk.

What will you be doing for Mother’s Day? Let me know any great ideas to add.
