I’ve always been a bit of a shoes girl. When I first went to visit my husband while he lived in New York I came back without about 5 pairs. When I went to Las Vegas, I gave up on gambling and spent my money on a gorgeous pair of wedges instead.
However, times have changed and the pair of shoes I wear the most these days is my wellies!
Living in the country, with a Labrador to walk, it’s inevitable that whatever I wear on my feet will be caked in mud so it needs to be practical. That doesn’t mean I want to substitute style completely though.
Luckily there are all sorts of gorgeous but durable designs on the market so I have put together a litte wellies wishlist.
1. Tideline wellies, Seasalt £39.95
I love the classic colour combination and nautical feel of these wellies. We might live about as far away from the sea as we can but it’s OK to pretend I’ve got a boat!
2. Wellibobs, Joules £34.95
I am always ‘just popping outside’ so I’m constantly hauling my wellies on. These short ones would be really easy to get on and off and I think the polka dot design is really cute.
OK, they are a little pricey but how gorgeous are these! Hunter is the gold standard of wellies and this exclusive RHS design would put a spring in your step all year round.
Rockfish do some really funky designs and these ones have a great zip up the back so no more hopping around trying to shake them off after a muddy walk!
What are your must-have wellies?
