4 Easy Vegan Halloween Cupcakes

September 22, 2019 by Emma 9 Comments

Happy Halloween! We love getting into the spooky spirit and will be getting dressed up, carving a pumpkin and painting one teal for food allergy friendly treats. These four easy vegan halloween cupcakes are so simple to put together but are great for any party or family fun.

We use our vegan chocolate cake recipe to make the cupcakes and it is a winner every time, but your favourite cupcake recipe will work too. So here’s how to make these four freaky designs:

Monster Cupcakes

Separate Oreo, scrape out filling and break one circle into two. Use red writing icing to stick four mini vegan marshmallows along the straight side to form a sandwich. Place onto cupcake. Draw eyes on two mini marshmallows and stick to the top of the Oreo using writing icing.

Ghost Cupcakes

Draw ghost faces on marshmallows with black writing icing. Add to cupcakes!

Bat Cupcakes

Separate Oreos and scrape out middle. Break each circle in half. Place one semi-circle flat side down as the bat body and add one either side at an angle for the wings. Draw eyes on two mini marshmallows and add to the bat.

 Gravestone Cupcakes

Separate Oreo and scrape out the filling. Write ‘RIP’ in red writing icing and push Oreo into cupcake.

These Halloween cupcakes are part of a collection of recipe for #freefromhalloween along with some of your other favourite foodie bloggers.

These look so good Emma, the boys would make a good stab at decorating these themselves. Gettit? 🙂 My favourite is the bat. Happy Halloween!

These look like so much fun to make with the kids, although I hate to think how much “blood” they’d cover my kitchen in making the tombstones! My favourite is the marshmallow ghosts but then I love love love marshmallows 🙂

I love these…they are so clever and now that we can get our hands on Schar gluten-free ‘oreos’ we could make them too. Very clever idea. The kids will go crazy for these!

I love the bat cakes. I was slightly worried the monster cake contain tomato ketchup which would make for an interesting halloween surprise
