It has been a grey sky kind of a week here. To brighten it up, I have been doing some of my favourite things – cooking and writing and getting outside!
Sometimes it takes all my motivation to head out the door when the weather is miserable but a crazy Labrador and two energetic little ones always help! And when I do, I instantly feel better. It’s amazing what time in nature can do for you, even if it often results in hosing down a muddy dog and emptying wellies full of water!
This week I have also been writing about judging the Freefrom Food Awards, which is a pleasure to be involved in, and reviewing a brilliant new book, The Allergy Free Baby And Toddler Cookbook.
I love reading cookbooks. I am trying to implement a ‘one in, one out’ policy but it’s not going very well! So it’s great to find even more inspiration online and reading your lovely posts.
Last week I was inspired by Glutarama’s Gluten free homemade sushi. I love sushi and have been meaning to try making it for a while. It would be fun to make with the kids, is easily freefrom and healthy as well.
I also loved the idea of this Vegan nacho cheese from Mummy Bakes Dairy Free. It would be great for parties as I am currently planning J’s 4th birthday next month.
Finally, I think we can all relate to this post from Adventures Of An Allergy Mummy about the Financial strain of gluten free living. We are not gluten free but even buying dairy free milk for my two easily sets me back £15 a week.
