It’s been an exciting few weeks here at the Free From Farmhouse. We’ve made it to the finals for Allergy Blog Of The Year (thanks to everyone who voted for us and congratulations to all the other finalists!), the blog has had a bit of a makeover and we had a special visitor…
Holiday Inn Express flew my sister in law over from America to surprise Mr C! Watch the video to see the behind the scenes story and how we surprised him. It was all part of their #weknowwhatmatters campaign and I feel very lucky to have been involved. You can read about how it all happened here and see the stories of the other two families who they surprised as well.
With all the excitement, Christmas has crept up on me even faster than usual. We put our tree up at the weekend and I have spent the last few days fending off a toddler and moving all the decorations further up the branches! We went to see J’s first nursery production yesterday (he made a very cute shepherd but didn’t sing any of the songs!) and we’re off to see santa at the weekend.
I am very behind with the shopping but at least I have lots of foodie inspiration with the brilliant #freefromchristmas series I’m involved in. Check out all the bloggers involved and their inspiring creations.
I have also added a few more ‘must make’ recipes to my list from you lovely lot…
If you’re veggie (or even if you’re not) then this Cranberry, feta and quiona stuffed butternut squash from Easy Peasie Foodie would make a great meat free alternative.
While this Vegan Christmas cake biscotti from Peachicks Bakery sounds so tasty, even if you made it nut free.
And for anyone hosting or visiting a buffet this Christmas, Gluten Free Alechemist has some Allergen Labels that will make things a little easier and safer.
