Cooking with kids #freefromfridays

It is such a dreary day here today, I’m not sure the sun has actually got out of bed. But doesn’t this little face cheer you up…

Yesterday I left baby A for the first time to run a writing course in London. She was as good as gold for Daddy but I was very happy to get home to my gorgeous girl.

We have also been cheering up this miserable weather by eating chocolate! I have a great giveaway to win some dairy free chocolate from Holland and Barret’s Christmas free from range.

J was more than happy to help me try out the chocolate and he is always keen to help me in the kitchen too. I love getting him involved in the cooking so this week I have picked out a few recipes that are perfect for children.

I am in love with these Slice and bake pumpkin sugar cookies from Bluenose Baker. The technique could easily be used to make other designs and the kids of all ages would love them.

These Tuna and chive Halloween peppers from Handy Herbs are a fun food activity to do at any time of year and look so cute (so does the baby!)

So now Halloween is behind us, what’s next? Do you have any good bonfire night recipes to link up? Any winter warmers to brighten up these dreary days?

    Hi Emma!

Thanks so much for inviting me to link up this week! I am sharing one of my current favorite dinners a simple sweet and savory Grilled Hawaiian Teriyaki Bowl. And I am also linking up a kid-friendly, egg-free, nut-free, Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookie.

    Happy Friday!!
