Sundays in our household are usually lazy family days that involve lounging round the house in our pyjamas, taking the dog for a long walk in the countryside and baking something yummy.
This week I have been taking inspiration from one of my favourite American treats – Reeses Pieces. They are totally off limits to J because of the dairy and peanut but I have been keen to recreate them with the wonderful Wow Butter.
Plus, with Mother’s Day just around the corner we all deserve a sweet treat or two and these are really easy for Daddy and the kids to make as there are only 4 ingredients and no baking needed.
Ingredients (Makes approx. 24)
50g wow butter
50g icing sugar
25g dairy free spread
200g dairy free chocolate
Silicone cake pop mould
Melt dairy free spread. Mix together with wow butter and icing sugar. Put mixture in fridge for 10mins.
Melt chocolate in a bain marie.
Spoon 1tsp chocolate into each mould. Press 1/4 tsp wow butter mix into middle of each. (It is best to use a measuring spoon for this to create a small ball)
Cover balls with another 1tsp chocolate and spread flat.
Put the moulds in the fridge for 15min to firm then gently pop out.
*In an ideal world the chocolate should be tempered to create a smooth, shiny finish but that’s a lot of work and they will all be eaten to quickly to notice!*
